What is outdoor fabric furniture?

Outdoor fabric furniture is the perfect choice for the British weather. With the mild climate Britain gets cool wet winters and warm wet summers. And the weather is very temperamental!

All weather outdoor furniture is the solution to all of these problems.  All weather fabric is made using solution dyed acrylic which is spun into a yarn, then woven to create the most durable outdoor furniture that is made to last.

With the Higold world-renowned Sunbrella and La Vita fabric, which is trusted by luxury yacht makers for deck furnishings, Outdoor Fabric products can be left outdoors 365 days a year.

The furniture pieces are structured using heavy duty aluminum frames. They are lightweight and weather resistant which means you won’t experience any rusting from poor weather conditions.

Outdoor fabric furniture provides you with many benefits:

  • All weather resistant
  • Quick drying
  • UV and fade resistant
  • Mold and Mildew resistant
  • Stain resistant
  • Bleach cleanable

All of our Higold garden furniture sets are engineered using a quick dry foam. The porous open cell structure allows water to drain rapidly and fresh air to circulate freely through the furniture.

After rainfall the furniture will be ready to use within an hour - so your family get together won’t be spoiled by the rain!

How to clean Sunbrella outdoor fabric

Outdoor fabric furniture is a great low-maintenance option! You won’t have to worry about spilling soft drinks on your sofa or the kids making a mess of your new patio dining furniture.

Although Outdoor Fabric furniture is highly stain resistant, it is important to treat any spillages immediately using warm soapy water with a bristle brush or sponge to gently wipe the fabric.

Sunbrella fabrics do not promote mildew growth, however it may grow on dirt and other foreign substances if not removed from the fabric, so it’s important to brush down your furniture.

How to remove stubborn stains:

Step 1: Make a solution of 150ml bleach, 40ml mild soap and 2 litres of water

Step 2: Spray the solution on the entire area and allow to soak into the fabric for 15 minutes

Step 3: Use a soft bristle brush or a sponge to clean the entire area without scrubbing

Step 4: Rinse the area thoroughly to remove all soap residue

Step 5: Leave the furniture to air dry

After a few rain showers or upon cleaning, you may notice a slight residue left on the furniture. This is perfectly normal and due to high levels of waterproofing and fire retardant coatings pre-applied to the furniture. If this does occur, simply wash off the furniture and rinse the patio to remove residue.
