How to clean Sunbrella outdoor fabric
Outdoor fabric furniture is a great low-maintenance option! You won’t have to worry about spilling soft drinks on your sofa or the kids making a mess of your new patio dining furniture.
Although Outdoor Fabric furniture is highly stain resistant, it is important to treat any spillages immediately using warm soapy water with a bristle brush or sponge to gently wipe the fabric.
Sunbrella fabrics do not promote mildew growth, however it may grow on dirt and other foreign substances if not removed from the fabric, so it’s important to brush down your furniture.
How to remove stubborn stains:
Step 1: Make a solution of 150ml bleach, 40ml mild soap and 2 litres of water
Step 2: Spray the solution on the entire area and allow to soak into the fabric for 15 minutes
Step 3: Use a soft bristle brush or a sponge to clean the entire area without scrubbing
Step 4: Rinse the area thoroughly to remove all soap residue
Step 5: Leave the furniture to air dry
After a few rain showers or upon cleaning, you may notice a slight residue left on the furniture. This is perfectly normal and due to high levels of waterproofing and fire retardant coatings pre-applied to the furniture. If this does occur, simply wash off the furniture and rinse the patio to remove residue.
